    Mit Hilfe von Methoden aus Diskreter Geometrie und Konvexgeometrie, insbesondere der parametrischen Dichte, wurden Aufbau und Wachstum von Kristallen und Quasikristallen simuliert. Dabei stimmen die theoretischen Vorhersagen mit den experimentellen Ergebnissen überein.
